SWAN: Responding to COVID-19
Our response to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic: May – August, 2021
- Critical medical supplies such as 13 oxygen concentrators, delivery to 7 health-post, 3 district hospitals of Baglung, Parbat, Udayapur, and Humla.
- Medical assistance, emergency treatment service, and psychological counseling to COVID patient and families at community level for two months (17 May 2021–16 July 2021) in Narayansthan, Baglung.
- Hot cooked meal support to 500 health workers of government hospitals in Kathmandu.
- Food relief support to 44 sponsored children and their families in Kathmandu.
- COVID-19 resource packages to the 132 COVID infected people in Narayansthan, Baglung and Sarkegad Rural Municipality, Humla.

SWAN Nepal is working on the frontline in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus and save lives amid a pandemic. To continue our mission, our longstanding partners, SWAN Deutschland e.V, and SWAN Österreich aided EURO: 15.000,00 while University of Utah, USA provided USD: 12,653.63, and Katkando, UK provided USD: 637.09 to SWAN.
Our response to the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic: May – July, 2020
- Provided emergency medical supplies like PPE sets, masks, gloves, sanitizers, and disinfectants to 15 health-posts, and 4 district hospitals of Baglung, Parbat, Udayapur, and Humla.
- Ensured increased access to safe and quality health care services at the community level in Nepal’s 4 districts.
- Provision of critical medicines and equipment support including Medical Officer for 9 months (July 2020-April 2021) at the Narayansthan health-post, Baglung. For more information, please click here . . .
