Establishing Community Drinking Water System

SWAN prioritizes establishing drinking water projects in communities since its inception in a bid to ensure access to safe drinking water. Over the years, SWAN has successfully completed 20+ drinking water projects in the rural communities across Nepal. SWAN constructs spring intake, well intake, reservoir tank, taps, pipeline distribution, and uses low-cost technology like as solar submersible pump system based on the project’s geographic location.

SWAN works in close collaboration with the local government, local water users committee, women and the community people for the sustainability of the project. In 2022, SWAN completed the community drinking water project through solar lifting in Katari Municipality, Ward no-7, Udayapur. Click here.
