SWAN recognizes local capacity and their aspirations to provide opportunities to improve livelihoods especially for women. Women are often deprived of their rights whilst few traditions and beliefs still place them in a weaker social role. We take necessary steps to improve the quality of life for women, empowering them and creating resilient and sustainable communities. SWAN believes that Social Entrepreneurship is a key for sustainable and resilient livelihoods. Micro finance and resources are provided to women’s groups to initiate and pursue various livelihood options.
