WASH in Schools , Health Facilities and Communities

Access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is a challenge in rural schools, healthcare facilities, communities and during emergencies in Nepal.

SWAN in collaboration with the local government, schools, health facilities, and communities helps in the construction of drinking water system, water taps, handwashing station, and toilets.  Also, we inspire, and encourage students, teachers, patients, and locals to use the WASH infrastructure properly. We create and deliver effective awareness messages to use clean water, adopt proper sanitation and good hygiene practices for healthy life and wellbeing of people.

So far, we have carried out WASH programmes across several districts of Nepal, including Parbat, Baglung, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok, Gorkha, Mugu, Humla, and Udayapur. Over the years, we have implemented more than 100+ WASH projects, yet there is still much more to be done to save lives.

Together, we can ensure access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) for people and communities in need.
